Ravenswood
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County

wine label

Story

  • Ravenswood was founded in 1976 by Joel Peterson and his partner and has been known for amazing zinfandel ever since.
  • Our Sonoma County Cab is given a long fermentation (as much a month) to soften its tannins and provide structure for aging.
  • Most of the fruit comes from Sonoma and Dry Creek Valleys, with injections from mountainside vineyards at Pickberry and Rancho Salina.
  • All are low-cropped and small-berried
